As many of you know, the San Mareo Count Fair is a passion of mine. I look forward to it every year. Of course, my favorite thing is to browse the quilts, needlework, and all the other beautiful hand made items!
Each year, a quilting bee or two will sponsor a special challenge award. For 2016, the Bee Confused Bee is sponsoring a Monkey Wrench or Churn Dash Challenge! It's the same block, but sometimes called by different names. The special prize will be $50.00!!!
To be considered, enter a quilt in the 2016 fair featuring the Monkey Wrench block (sometimes called Churn Dash). The quilt may have any number of blocks and any other elements as long as the designated block dominates.
Enter your quilt in the appropriate category in the 2016 San Mateo County Fair. After the quilts have been judged and hung, the Bee Confused members will look at all the quilts, choose their favorite, and award the prize!
So get started now on your monkey wrench quilt, so you can have it done by the fair. We will have some upcoming classes to help hou out! Remember, this fair doesn't have boundaries for entry, so you do not have to live in San Mateo to win!! We can't wait to see what your Churn Dash quilt will look like!
