Everyday beginning on June 22 and ending on June 26, 2015, the following Judy Niemeyer Certified Shops will be posting on their blogs and talking about the quilts in the book. Some of the shops also have their designs in the book! 2. Each shop will be offering prizes related to the book as well. For instance, some prizes include... the book, kits, paper foundation packages to create the quilts and so much more. 3. Each day you will visit each of the blogs and leave a comment on those blogs to enter to win their prize. 4. You can enter once on every blog every day. 5. The winners will be randomly drawn by each individual shop and the winners will be notified on June 29, 2015. 6. When you enter a comment, there MUST be a way for us to contact you. Therefore you MUST leave an e-mail address. If not, and you are picked as a winner, we will have to select a new winner. Row by Row Starts Today!
Row by Row Experience Starts Today! At every participating shop, you will get a FREE pattern just for stopping by the shop. Always Quilting is offering two pattern choices. The first one, an Always Quilting original design is mostly pieced with a little bit of paper piecing. Here it is!
Kits will be available, and they will come with the cruise ship names, SS Always Quilting, and AQ II already embroidered for you! This is such a fun row and we are very excited about it! Our other row is entirely pieced, and is a bargello design using ten different Hoffman batiks. It is gorgeous! And we will also have kits for this row too!
We had a fun time today at Shop Hop by the Bay when Susan, our 2014 Row by Row winner stopped by for Shop Hop! Here she is with our Row by Row display! You can see both of our rows, a larger version of our Row by Row fabric plate, the large mat board bag (pattern from Cut Loose Press), two Screen Play totes - one with Velcro and one with zipper - made out of the Row by Row fabrics, the small mesh Nifty Notions bag, three versions of Bobbin the Robbin made by Diane and Junko, and a selection of patterns you might want to use to display your fabric plates!
And of course, Row by Row wouldn't be complete without our very own Bobbin the Robin mascot - and she is life size! You will have to come by and take your picture with her! We've got her all dressed up and ready to go. She has her own satin two-piece bathing suit, red suede heels with zippers, her tiara, jeweled earrings, and more! We are searching for the perfect name; do you have any suggestions?

Crazy Quilting At Always Quilting Gets Crazy!
Always Quilting hosts a Crazy Quilt Open Studio class on the third Wednesday of the month. It is FREE, and you can bring any project you'd like to work on. Robin is working on the sample for a class we are planning to schedule this fall. We are going to be doing a Christmas Popper!
Start with a flat crazy quilt block, and do all of your embroidery and crazy quilt stitches. Add lots of fun embellishments and maybe some beads to give it pizazz! Robin's block below has some great ideas that can be inspiration for your block She still has a lot to add to the block, but has a great start. I love these rich colors! They are great for the Christmas holiday season, or would be wonderful in a traditional, elegant room. And it is a great project to make in any colors - what about blacks and golds with lots of sparkle for New Year's Eve?
Once you have finished your block, you will roll it over a paper tissue tube to get a nice, rounded look. Eventually, the ends will be twisted around and finished off with some beautiful ribbon or the accompaniment of your choice.
Here is the side with the beautiful bells printed on Printed Treasures paper to include in your block. The picture is trimmed in ric rac; doesn't it look great so far?
And here is the other side of the popper - this is what shoes as the tube is rolled. You may want to play with your popper to get the sections you want to feature perfectly centered. This side contains more elegant fabrics, and some beautiful beading and couching and some wonderful mesh netting with beads made out of thread. Very fun and easy to do!
Although we don't have a date set yet for the Popper Class, you can click here if you'd like more information about our FREE Crazy Quilt Open Studio or if you'd like to register to join us next month!
