Tuffets are a Great Gift!

Here are two of the tuffets made in our Tuffet Class with Barbara Hall last Saturday.  This is such a great class since we can guarantee that you will go home with a finished Tuffet!  You make your tuffet fabric top during the first class, and finish it before the second class - generally you have about two weeks to do that.  Then, when you come back for the second class, you will finish your tuffet!  We have all the tools you need, and if you've purchased your tuffet kit from us, you will have everything in your kit to complete your tuffet!  It has been so fun to see the fabulous tuffets that have been made in class!

Linda made the round tuffet out of men's ties.  What a great way to use up your old ties, and it creates a very beautiful look!  Click here to order the round tuffet pattern and/or interfacing (if you've already made a tuffet, you don't need the instructions again; you can get just the interfacing), and click here to order the round tuffet kit.

Liz made the new square tuffet, using one of her favorite strip rolls, and adding the extra fabric needed for the square corners.  Click here to order the square tuffet pattern and/or interfacing, and click here to order the square tuffet kit.

Don't they look great?  Our next Tuffet Class with Barbara is January 22nd and February 5th.  Click here to register for class.  We hope you'll join us!

Farm Fun Animals Arrived Back in Stock - Just in Time to Make for Holiday Gifts!

What a fun and easy project to whip up for the kids or grandkids in your life!  Although someone came in yesterday who is making this for their grandma who had a farm!

This set is made from a one yard panel from the Farm Fun Animal collection by Stacy Iest Hsu for Moda fabrics.  The panel will make all four animals, and two precious babies for each animal.  They fit oh so snuggly in the pockets on the front of Momma!  The animals on the panel are a Pig (sow), a Cow, a Chicken (hen), and a Sheep (ewe).  Each animal measures approximately 7" x 10" and her babies are approximately 2" x 3 1/2".   Click here to order the panel.

And if you'd like to make a matching quilt, we used our Zig Zag Zoom pattern to make this very cute throw sized quilt out of the Farm Fun fabric collection.  It only takes 12 fat quarters, plus your background fabric, and is a fun and easy pattern to do!  Click here to order pattern and fat quarter bundle.

Here are our 2016 Rows!

Here are our 2016 Rows for Row by Row Experience!  The theme is "Home Sweet Home", and we wanted to feature our great San Francisco Bay Area in our rows.  We have two rows - a pieced row, and an applique row.  Here is our pieced row:

(Oops; I cannot get this picture to rotate sideways....check our website for the correct view!)

This row features the Golden Gate Bridge, Victorian Painted Ladies (the houses) and all the hearts that are left in San Francisco!  We are also including a machine embroidered "Always Quilting" in our kit!  And here is our appliqued row:

This pattern features two options - fabric applique, or coloring with hand embroidery!  The fabric applique is on the bottom and the crayon embroidery is on the top.  While we love the applique look, we couldn't ignore the popularity of the coloring book phase and wanted to do our applique pattern with Crayola crayons and Cosmo floss too!  We hope you like it!

You can pre-order your row kits online here - pieced or applique.  Please note we cannot mail or ship the patterns or kits until November 1st; you will have to come to the shop to get them.  But if you still want our row, go ahead and order it, and we'll have it shipped to you on November 1st.

We hope you'll stop by and see us - Row by Row will be so fun this year!
