Season's Tweetings - New Laser Cut Fabric Kit from McKenna Ryan

Season's Tweetings by McKenna Ryan is a raw edge applique project, and the pieces are laser cut with the fusible already applied! All you have to do is peel and attach the pieces to the background! Quilt size: 39 1/2" x 39 1/2".  The fabrics in this project are just beautiful, and I've actually started working on it myself!  

Embellishment kits are also available, and they are very cute!

There's also a Snow Lady Quilter with her own holiday quilt!  The Snow Globes, Peppermints & Snowflakes, and Four Patch Borders are fun to make. Pieced and fusible appliqued. New Judy Niemeyer Pattern Here Today!

Allisyn’s Wondered Land, a beautiful new project pattern from Judy Niemeyer arrived today!  It is designed by Judy and Brad Niemeyer as part of the Sunrise Mixer series. It includes three distinct groups to create an 80” x 80” quilt. A circular center sits in the middle of the quilt with a diameter of 62”. A 4” Wide ring surrounds the center for a total increased diameter of 70”. Then, a border is added to square the quilt off at 80”.

Violet Craft Patters are Here! And Class in March!

Do you love the Violet Craft Patterns?  We think they are so fabulous!  And we are having a class on Sunday, March 5th with Alla Blanca to learn how to do these fabulous projects!  There is an elephant (click here to order),

Blank Vintage Rose Fabrics Have Arrived! Pre-order Yours Today!

The fabrics for our Blank wall hanging Vintage Rose kits have arrived!  We have started cutting these kits!  Once we get the patterns, we will be all ready to send these out.  The Blank Vintage Rose reminds us of tropical punch.  It is one of the cover sheets in the upcoming pattern.  The sample quilt was made by Kathi Carter Sweet, who will be teaching our Technique of the Month classes for this project!

Temari Ball Club - Do You Want to Try a New Project?

We have a Japanese Temari Ball Club that meets at Always Quilting each month.  What is a Temari Ball you ask?  It is a thread embroidery ball that was originally used as a hand ball toy for children.  The balls are made with rice hulls in the center, and thread-wrapped to create a circle.  They are then stitched in sections with very simple or very elaborate designs.  The cool thing is that you can make a very nice Temari Ball in one day! 

This book by Temari expert Barb Suess introduces you to beautiful Temari Balls that are easy to stitch on the go.  I have taken my Temari Balls to stitch while I wait to pick up kids from music lessons, soccer practice, and more.  The bright colors and intricate designs make these traditional Japanese Temari Balls a treat for the eyes!  This is a great book for beginners to start with, and provides enough challenge and variety of the designs for the intermediate and advanced Temari Ball makers as well.  To purchase the Temari book, click here.  To purchase the Temari Techniques book, another great book by Barb Suess, click here.

Zen Garden - Laser Cut Applique Would Make A Great Gift!

Last Strip Club of 2016 Meets Today!

Our last Strip Club class of 2016 meets today!  All members are encouraged to come, even if you can only stop by for a bit!  We always do a fun pot luck, and there will be plenty of food and treats for you to share!  If you are not a member, you can always attend any strip club session for $15. 

Evelyn will be revealing the first project for 2017, so you'll want to make sure and see that!  And of course our strip club members will be first to see our new strip rolls - so that's always a fun thing to do too!

Tuffets are a Great Gift!

Here are two of the tuffets made in our Tuffet Class with Barbara Hall last Saturday.  This is such a great class since we can guarantee that you will go home with a finished Tuffet!  You make your tuffet fabric top during the first class, and finish it before the second class - generally you have about two weeks to do that.  Then, when you come back for the second class, you will finish your tuffet!  We have all the tools you need, and if you've purchased your tuffet kit from us, you will have everything in your kit to complete your tuffet!  It has been so fun to see the fabulous tuffets that have been made in class!
